Nobel Prize in Chemistry, 2008
Nobel Prize in Chemistry for the year 2008 is swept away by three American chemists Osamu Shimomura, Martin Chalfie, and Roger Y. Tsien for their discovery and development of the Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP). Each of the three will share one-third (33.33 percent) of the Nobel Prize as stated by the Nobel Foundation.

The Nobel Prize in Physics for the year 2008 has been awarded to three lifetime contributors in Physics by the Nobel Foundation. Yoichiro Nambu, Makoto Kobayashi, and Toshihide Maskawa will share this year’s Nobel Prize in Physics. Yoichiro Nambu is from USA whereas Makoto Kobayashi and Toshihide Maskawa are from Japan.
