How do you get banned from Google AdSense program?

Google AdSense is the best contextual advertising program offered to publishers all over the world. Joining a Google AdSense program will make you more money than any other advertising program available. Joining AdSense is easy, but many publishers get banned due to some prohibited silly acts. Now I’ll discuss how you get banned from a Google AdSense program. It’s easy to determine how you get banned. Everyone who violates the Google AdSense policies is at risk of being banned. I’ve explained few factors for being banned below:

Age of your account
If you have a Google AdSense account through which you have receive at least two or more checks and it is about 6 months old, then you will not be directly banned from a program until you do something serious. If your account is genuine and old, you’ll get banned only after you neglect a warning e-mail sent by Google AdSense team.

Clicking on own ads or encouraging clicks
This is the most common reason to get banned from Google AdSense program. A Google AdSense policy has prohibited clicking on your own ads. You mustn’t click and encourage others to click on your ads. CTR of above 15% is considered risky. Google AdSense accounts with CTR above 15% are deeply reviewed for any policy violation. Someone who violates this policy and clicks on own ads gets banned directly from a Google AdSense program.

Altering Google AdSense codes
Usually, this policy violation will not result in direct ban from a program. Google AdSense team sends you e-mail warning about your alteration of code. They’ll ask you to use original Google AdSense code. If you disobey them, you’ll get banned.

Two accounts with same payee name and address
If you open two accounts with same name and address, you are sure to get banned. But only your second account will be banned and your first account will still remain operational. If you want two accounts, you may open two accounts only if your one account will be an individual account and other will be a business account. But sometimes, you’re not even allowed to get two separate accounts as an individual and business.

Using caption other than “Sponsored Links” and “Advertisements”
If you use any caption like “Related Ads” or something other than “Sponsored Links” and “Advertisements”, Google will warn you for such act. You may not use any caption with a motive to encourage your visitors to click ads. Doing so may result in Google AdSense termination. But usually, Google notifies you before banning you from a program.

Inserting Ads on Popup
You may not place AdSense advertisements on popup. This is a prohibited act. No AdSense is allowed to be placed on Popup. However, you may place ads on popup that opens with javascript window.open function after clicking on a link. The only think you mustn’t do is, open a popup automatically to display Google Ads.

Other factors
Other factors that may get you banned are: masking your ads, hiding Ads by Google link, confusing users with same color theme on ads and website content, and encouraging users to click on ads by placing attractive images near ads.

To make Google AdSense better, Google asks to complain on any website that violates Google AdSense policy. If you have found some website that doesn’t follow factors I’ve mentioned on this post, you can complain on that website here: https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/request.py?search_ask=1&subtopic=&contact=rpv&main_topic=other&contact_type=11&contact_topic=Report+a+policy+violation&Action.Search=Content. I encourage you to report any violation to help Google.
