Karthik Rajaram: A Victim of Financial Crisis
This has been the worst consequence of the global financial crisis. Karthik Rajaram, a man from India who lived in Los Angeles, killed his family and committed suicide. He was found dead in his Porter Ranch home. He first killed his wife, mother-in-law, and three sons, and then he committed a suicide.
Karthik, a graduate of MBA in Finance, was 45 years old and had worked as a financial manager for Porter Ranch. He lost his job and his last hope of stock market fell hard. In his suicide note to police, he has blamed financial crisis for his actions. He has left other confidential notes for his friends and relatives.
In 2003 and 2004, Karthik had worked for Greg Robinson at Azur Partners LLC, who fired Rajaram because he believed Rajaram’s life wasn’t moving in right direction. Greg Robinson says Rajaram had some behavioral problems and he wasn’t reliable. But according to him, Rajaram was a very smart guy.
The Global Economic crisis may go even worst. The current American Bailout plan may support market but it isn’t a permanent solution. It will postpone the problem, which may reappear after sometime. Only the permanent solution to such problem can prevent from such incidents to happen again.
